Filerimos – Acropolis of Ialysos

Ialisos is one of the three archaic cities of Rhodes. The Acropolis on the green hills of Filerimos has been the centre of the Byzantine and for the Knights of Saint Jean.

Also the Monastery of the Virgin Mary is located in this region.  Descriptive narration of the Cross by relief work can be found on a street leading to a giant Cross of 267 mt in height installed on a hill.  From here, looking over southbound an impressive landscape awaits you.
